Recommended Regimen for Successful Extractions
For dry or oily skin types.
Derm-A-Gel
Daily use of Derm-A-Gel will exfoliate your skin bringing impacted pores to the surface for easier comedone extracting. Vitamin A is also a cell rejuvenator, boosting collagen for a youthful appearance and reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.
Treat - AM
After cleansing, apply a dime size amount of Derm-A-Gel to the face. Do not rinse or wash off. Slight redness and flaking is normal. If skin becomes irritated, skip a day or two before applying again. Increase treatments gradually, as skin adjusts. Once skin is acclimated to Derm-A-Gel, use it up to twice daily by adding it to your evening regimen.
Once impacted pores surface, it is safe to extract. Apply ice compresses to inflamed areas as it aids in the reduction of inflammation.
Exfol-A and BP Cleanser 3% Combination Treatment
Exfol-A is a stronger exfoliator and combined with BP Cleanser 3% you increase the exfoliation process. The added antibacterial benefit of Benzoyl Peroxide and polyethylene beads make this treatment very effective for those with moderate to aggressive acne.
Cleanse – AM and/or PM
Wash your face thoroughly with BP Cleanser 3% for at least one minute, using your hands (not sponges or wash cloths). BP Cleanser 3% is safe enough to use, twice daily, in the AM and PM as your cleanser.
Freeze – PM
Applying a frozen cool pack to the affected area, prior to treatment, reduces inflammation and irritation. It also allows optimum penetration of products deep into the pores.
Treat - PM
After cleansing and freezing, apply a dime size amount of Exfol-A to the face or affected area and leave on. It is normal for slight redness or flaking to occur. If skin becomes irritated, skip a day or two before applying. Increase treatments, slowly, as your skin adjusts. Use up to twice daily by adding it to your morning regimen.
Exfol-A Forte and Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Gel Medication Combination Treatment
Exfol-A Forte is Vivant’s strongest Vitamin A skin conditioner. Combined with the Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Gel Medication it will seriously boost the exfoliation process. Typically this regimen is only recommended for those who are use to excessive exfoliation and have acclimated to the Vitamin A skin conditioners.
Treat – AM
After cleansing your skin, apply a dime size amount of Exfol-A Forte to affected area and let dry. Begin with once a day, increasing slowly, up to twice a day. Always allow the product to dry for a minute or two prior to applying anything over it. If excessive irritation develops, temporarily discontinue.
Freeze – PM
Applying a frozen cool pack to the affected area reduces inflammation and irritation. It also allows optimum penetration of products deep into the pores.
Kill Bacteria – PM
Apply Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Gel Medication with fingers on affected area. Start using Benzoyl Peroxide Gel Medication gradually, (i.e., one hour) then wash off. Keep increasing the time worn until finally wearing overnight. You will experience increased drying, exfoliation and tightening of the complexion. This action is normal and required to help you control acne.
