VIVANT SUNSCREENS
Vivant has developed four separate sunscreens for a wide spectrum of sun protection for light-skinned individuals. All these products have been formulated with a non-irritating, non-acne producing ingredients. They are particularly useful for those individuals with sensitive or acne-prone skin.

These products are formulated to be both moisturizing and protective.

Day Treatment Lotion SPF 15
Our most popular product is the Day Treatment Lotion SPF 15. This is a formulation where all of the ingredients have been checked for irritancy and acne-producing potential. This product can be applied daily as a routine moisturizer for active individuals who may be in and out of the sun during the day. It contains both a UVB and UVA protective sunscreens. It is particularly useful for individuals on skin care programs that may have some dryness and irritation from their therapeutic cosmeceuticals and may need to take a break for a day or so and use a treatment lotion to correct the skin’s barrier. |
The SPF 30+ Skin Care Formulations
These skin care formulations contain a stronger spectrum of sunscreens that allow for a more intense sun exposure in lighter-skinned individuals. Again all of the ingredients, including the actual sunscreens themselves, have been selected for their lack of irritancy, adamosis and acne-producing potential.

SPF 30+ Sunscreen Lotion
The SPF 30+ Sunscreen cream is a moisturizing formula that contains broad spectrum of sunscreens. This formulation is extra moisturizing for dry skin and for sensitive skin after skin peeling or laser resurfacing. It is often the first formulation that the patient can use after a peel or laser resurfacing when the skin is healed but still sensitive and red. This formulation is used during the day to reduce the redness and irritation and to provide effective sunscreen. The product can be continued on after its therapeutic use as a daily moisturizer and sunscreen for those who live in quite dry climates or have quite dry sensitive skin. The ingredients in the formulation have been selectively formulated to provide for a non-itching burning formulation on quite sensitive skin that may be involved in a skin rash or after skin resurfacing. |

SPF 30+ Clear Gel Sport Sunscreen
The is an alcohol-based formulation of a broad spectrum UVA and UVB sunscreens that provide water-proof protection. It is a myth that the alcohol dries out the skin. The alcohol actually evaporates off and the heat of evaporation helps the sunscreen ingredients penetrate into the stratum cornium and to become an effective barrier. We often tell our patients who are going out for intensive exposure such as Saturday tennis or a sunny beach to begin the treatment before the exposure. For example, if they are playing tennis on Saturday afternoon, we recommend that they use 30+ Sunscreen Clear Gel Sport Sunscreen Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday morning. This way the stratum cornium is loaded with sunscreen and is waterproofed so if there is perspiration or water exposure sunscreen will not wash off. This is the most potent formula for water proof sunscreen use.
The real advantage of the SPF 30+ Clear Gel Sport Sunscreen is that it doesn't’t leave a residue that runs into the eyes or onto the sensitive neck during intense athletic endeavors such as tennis. The formulation will not run into the eyes and cause burning and will not run off with perspiration. It is actually bound into the skin’s top protective layer the stratum cornium and will actually stay there once the skin has been loaded with sunscreen for two to three days. This gives longer term effective sunscreen for those who might forget a day to apply their protective barrier. |
Again, our two most popular products are the Day Treatment Lotion and the SPF 30+ Clear Gel Sport Sunscreen. The Day Treatment Lotion for routine daily protection and continuing mild moisturization. This can be used on acne-prone skin or eczema-prone skin to add moisture to the skin. And, the SPF 30+ Clear Gel Sport Sunscreen is our product for sports enthusiasts or outside workers that provide sunscreen protection without irritation during water exposure or sweating.
